Etsy Craft Party

(Photo taken from Etsy blog)

Etsy is organizing a worldwide Craft Party! It's basically a day when people from all over the world can get together in their hometowns and have a group craft night.  I decided to organize a Craft Party in Tempe, AZ.  It will be on Friday, June 18th at 7pm.  I haven't worked out a location, but if you are interested, let me know.  You can visit the Craft Party site: http://www.meetup.com/Etsy-Craft-Party/5116/ and sign up that you are interested.  If you have any ideas for projects or locations, I'd love to talk with you.  This is not limited to people just in the Tempe, AZ area.

Paper - You can even sew it!

As most of you loyal readers know by now, I'm completely obsessed with paper. Sometimes I just sit in my studio with a big pile of it and see if any new ideas come into my head. While I was contemplating some new ideas this weekend, I decided to brush my sewing machine off and play around with it. I ended up seewing some adorable little vintage paper envelopes! I am just so pleased with the result. I think they would be just perfect for handmade cards or to add to your scrapbooking pages with a little note or picture inside. You could even use them in the mail, just add an address label, and a stamp, and you're good to go!

If you have any great projects that you would like to share that involve using vintage paper, I'd love to hear about them!
