to carry love and lovely words!
I am now a follow and fellow paper lover! My wedding is May 30 of this year and I've been searching for a conversation started for dinner guests. I would keep the pages intact and place them under glass plates so that guests could read and discuss them before and while eating their meals. (I can't claim complete originality for the idea--it's Martha's!)
ReplyDeleteMy fiance and I are getting married next May. We will be screen printing our Save the Dates on to vintage handkerchiefs - this vintage paper pack would be perfect to use as envelope liners!
ReplyDeleteThese would be a perfect touch for our wedding. Our officiant was also my French professor way back when and we're really bringing in a feel of Paris and Versailles which are both very special places to us. We would probably use them for decor, though they would make perfect additions to our ceremony programs or thank you cards. Wonderful give away! Thanks!

ReplyDeleteI lovelovelove vintage and paper. My fiance is Parisian and, since half of our wedding will be flying in from France, I would use these either to decorate the escort cards at our wedding or as the table numbers
I would glue the pages to a blank canvas and ask our guests to sign the canvas. We could then frame it and display it in our home as a keepsake from our wedding day. Thanks for the chance to win.

I am so a fan! We plan on having a vintage/garden style wedding. We were already planning on putting old books on some tables an old night case on another... these would fit fabulously as decoration on our tables! Maybe use them for our table numbers! Then later we could hodge-podge them to a painted canvas and use the numbers for artwork!!!
ReplyDeleteOooh, these are beautiful! I don't know how I would use them--maybe fold them into favors for our guests, or frame them and hang them for our guests to read, or even incorporate the poems into table napkins (silkscreen?). So many ideas!
ReplyDeleteI plan on displaying old family wedding pictures behind the glass panes of several old farmhouse windows. I think these pages would be a lovely addition to break up the pictures. Also, I would frame them in vintage frames of varying shapes along the fireplace mantel or randomly place framed pages on cocktail tables around the reception area.

ReplyDeleteI would use my Xyron machine to make these sticky, and then use them as the backs of paper goodies - like our program, or maybe our menu cards. I love the unexpected touch of whimsy they'd add, and I also love French, so that's a bonus.

ReplyDeleteLove it! The unofficial 'theme' of our wedding is vintage book pages... I used them for our invitations (Faulkner) and bunting (Tolstoy).

ReplyDeleteI have so many plans for vintage paper! First off, I'm hanging sheets from the chandelier, using them as table runners, thank you cards, a garland outside, tags on the favors, Programs, and if I have enough, I'm using them as an aisle runner. People are also scattering hearts that I hole punched out of vintage paper on us when we leave.

I would use these pages to create paper flowers for the guys' boutonnieres for my summer wedding. I'm making most of the decorations out of different types of vintage paper.

I would love to make a paper chandelier, lampshades, envelope liners, placecards, as matting for pictures of other weddings in the family...how couldn't I use them!

ReplyDeleteI would use these as a background for a guestbook. I've never wanted a traditional "sign here" guesbook. I've always wanted a book, where people can sign and write as much as they'd like. This would be a perfect background for our guestbook, that is currently just filled with blank pages. It will fit with our outdoor garden theme also!

ReplyDeleteMy fiance and I had our first travel experience together to England for a cast iron art conference with a small trip to paris at the end. It was romantic and unforgettable. We'll be casting iron at our wedding to create our funeral urn. I would love to use these pages on a string as a barrier between us and our lovely dressed guests as we cast the 2600 degree fahrenheit iron!

These lovely vintage pages would be perfect for table numbers / conversation pieces. I would really like to create pieces on each table that spark conversation among our guests - these are a beautiful way to do so! They can be combined with photos of us together with some of the people at that table.
ReplyDeleteI would use these beautiful papers as programs at my May (ballet pink) wedding. I am a lover of poetry, and took many poetry classes in college. I am no great talent, but I absolutely adore this art form and would love it to be a part of my wedding. I would use a rubber stamp made of my own handwritten program to stamp the program onto the backs of these lovely papers!
